Community-Centered Support for Single Mothers and Families

Life gets expensive, and little ones have big needs. We’re here to help ease the burden.
Through our material support programs, you can access:
Clothing (for children)
Diapers and formula (both emergency and through Diaper Depot)
Toys and books (gently used)
Baby equipment (gently used)
Every three months, you can meet with an advocate to assemble a care package tailored to your family - no strings attached.
Material Assistance
Pregnant and ready to move forward? Wondering what the next steps should be?
At Tandem, we provide free prenatal care from week 0–36, onsite, with our caring medical team walking alongside you every step of the way. At week 36, we coordinate a smooth transition to one of our trusted partner hospitals for the final weeks of pregnancy, labor, and delivery.
No insurance? No problem! Tandem is a certified MNsure Navigator, and our team can help you enroll in medical assistance right from our office. Once enrolled, that coverage is used for hospital-based services such as labs, ultrasounds, and labor and delivery.
Our goal is simple: to make sure cost, insurance, or paperwork never stand in the way of consistent, compassionate care during your pregnancy.
Prenatal Medical Care
*All services provided onsite at Tandem by Tandem staff are free. Hospital-based services outside of Tandem — including labs, ultrasounds, and labor and delivery — are billed to your insurance. Tandem staff can assist with MNsure enrollment and medical assistance through Hennepin County.

Being a mama and working is no small task - it takes balance, support, and a clear starting point. At Tandem, we’re here to help you find your footing and build the confidence to take your next step, whether you’re entering the workforce for the first time or returning after time at home with your little ones.
In our employment readiness coaching, you’ll explore your natural skills and talents, discover career paths that excite you, and map out a practical plan to get there. We’ll equip you with the tools you need to succeed - from making a strong first impression to sharpening your communication skills, building your resume, and preparing for interviews.
